Product description

White or light yellow powder. Odorless and tasteless. Wetting property, soluble in water, high viscosity liquid in neutral or slightly alkaline conditions. Stable to chemicals, heat and light. Sodium carboxymethyl cellulose is a polymer obtained by carboxymethylation of cellulose. Pure carboxymethyl cellulose has no practical value, and its sodium salt is actually used.

In the papermaking industry, it can be used as an additive to improve the longitudinal strength and smoothness of paper. It can be used as a viscosity regulator when coating paper to improve the printability of paper. It can be added to the pulp as a reinforcing agent and also used for surface sizing. In addition, it can also be used to prepare soaps and synthetic detergents; in the petroleum industry, it is used as a suspension stabilizer for drilling mud; in the food industry, it is used as a thickener, emulsion stabilizer and ice crystal inhibitor for ice cream; in the textile industry, it is used as a thickener for printing and dyeing pulp; in the pharmaceutical industry, it can be used as an emulsifier stabilizer for injections, a binder and film-forming agent for tablets; and in the production of cosmetics, ceramics, etc., it is used as a thickener.
