Products Description
Acetic acid, also known as acetic acid, chemical formula CH3COOH, is an organic monobasic acid, which is the main component of vinegar. Pure anhydrous acetic acid (glacial acetic acid) is a colorless hygroscopic liquid with a freezing point of 16.6 ºC (62 ºF). After solidification, it is a colorless crystal. Its aqueous solution is weakly acidic and highly corrosive, which is strongly corrosive to metals. Steam is irritating to eyes and nose.
Application
Acetic acid is a versatile compound essential in numerous applications. It is extensively used in the production of vinegar, chemical preparations, pharmaceuticals, and cosmetics. Additionally, it serves as an impregnating agent, chemical finishing agent, and cauterizing substance. Acetic acid is also crucial in rubber coagulation, as well as in the leather and paint industries.
